Mother Nature's Protest
Part of the final degree show for my BA (Hons) Photography degree at the University of Lincoln, running from 14th May - 31st May 2024. This project focuses on documenting the destruction of urban architecture, coinciding with the revolution of mother nature and her growth over society, outlining the foundations of life and how ivy, and other wild plants, make obvious their strength and resistance to man-made structures. Combining audio and visual, these elements work together to relocate you, creating an atmosphere of urbanisation and overgrowth. This project intends to show the balance of nature and architecture, the irony of how mother nature is fenced off, an exhibit to be looked upon, admired or forgotten - feeding on the little food it is given from the concrete ground that surrounds her.
